Abstract (en) | The Mu3e Experiment is a planned experiment to be installed at Paul Scherrer Institute. It is designed to investigate the lepton flavor violating decay µ+ → e+e−e+. It is planned that the Mu3e experiment achieves a sensitivity of 10−16 to the branching ratio of this decay. The tile detector is a subdetector for the experiment and is positioned at the end of the path of the decaying electrons. It is designed to achieve the most accurate timing resolution in the Mu3e detector. The slow control system of the tile detector is used to turn on the power of the readout chips used for the tile detector, as well as to monitor the temperature and power consumption. The monitoring is used to ensure that the tile detector is in a safe operating range at all times during the run. This thesis examines the composition of these slow control functions as well as additional slow control implementations for a testbeam at DESY in September 2022. |
