Gallery Infrared camera captures Beetle 1.2 power-up

The power-up of a Beetle 1.2 chip was measured and captured with an infrared camera.The first picture shows the absolute temperature. At the second picture the temperature difference between the measured temperature and the start temperature is shown.

The complete power-up is also available as a movie:
- absolute measurement (16 MB AVI-file)
- differential measurement (21 MB AVI-file)
The third temperature absolute measurement (186 MB AVI-file) shows a power-up cycle of a Beetle 1.2 chip. This movie also includes different DAC settings. For example the current output driver (small region at the middle right side of the Beetle chip) is programmed to a maximum value (=> hot spot)..
