Infrastructure

The design department of the ASIC laboratory is equipped with powerful UNIX workstations. CAD software is obtained via the EU aid programm Europractice, which enables the acquisition of all necessary software to develop analogue, digital and mixed signal application specific circuits for a reasonable price.

The test department has all modern instruments needed to test the ASICs, e. g. semi-automatic and manual bonding station, a manual and a semi- automatic wafer prober station, a digital chip tester, oscilloscopes, signal generators, VMEbus based data acquisition systems and much more.
