Dynamics of Complex Systems - Capacitance bridges
Capacitance bridges
The low frequency dielectric susceptibility is measured with homemade capacitance bridges. The capacitance of a capacitor with the sample as dielectric is compared to that of a identical capacitor with a sapphire crystal as dielectric. The dielectric loss of the sapphire is negligible below a few kelvin and its susceptibility is constant in good approximation.
