Abstract (en)

To adapt to the new conditions and challenges introduced by the High-Luminosity LHC, the ATLAS detector is undergoing the Phase-II upgrades. As part of this effort, the Tile Calorimeter will replace both its on- and off-detector electronics to meet the requirements for higher data rates and faster processing. The Trigger and Data Acquisition interface (TDAQi), integrated into the TileCal PreProcessor, provides the connection between the calorimeter electronics and the various subsystems of the trigger and readout system. 40 boards are aimed to be produced this year with final system installation in 2027. This thesis focuses on the pre-production and validation phase of the TDAQi module. It covers two primary objectives: first, the optimization of the switching frequency of the on-board DC/DC converters as part of the final hardware revision improvements; and second, the development of a fully automated testbench framework. This software suite is designed to verify internal communication integrity, evaluate high-speed optical link quality through statistical error rate analysis, and centralize all test results within a dedicated database.
