The LPKF ProtoMat S63 is suitable for many inhouse prototyping applications and it can handle 2.5-dimensional material processing. This means you can mill circuit boards and process housings.
For processing circuit boards you must follow same rules:
-
No structures smaller then 100um (recommended min. 200um)
-
Maximum 2 Layers
-
Maximum working area (x/y) 229mm x 305mm
-
We basically use boards with a thickness of 1,5mm and 35um copper surface.
-
A maximum of 15 different tools are available. This means that not all hole sizes may be possible.
-
For production we need Gerberfiles from TOP and/or BOTTOM, board outline and drill files.
Important! To avoid mistakes please ask an electronic employee first before starting the Layout.
The following is important for process housings:
-
PVC and aluminum can be processed
-
The machine can engrave and drill holes
-
You can realize pockets and outcuts
-
You can produce polyimide stencils
-
Maximum size of material (x/y/z) 229mm x 305mm x 35mm
