Layout Extraction

After DRC=0 we need to generate a netlist from the layout that can be used to compare against the schematic. This step is called "Extraction". Verify -> Extract... opens the Extractor window. With the capall switch all parasitic capacities were extracted from the layout which caused by overlapping layers.

After the extraction a new view is created. You can open it via the Library Manager. You see the layout and if you have a closer look you can identify tiny symbols at your devices that show how the extraction has identified your devices.

That's all, now we are ready to compare the extracted layout against the schematic.
